Feral and Other Pests

Feral pests destroy Australia’s native plants and animals, so having them around your home can be quite distressing.

You need to act quickly at the first sign of a feral pest. A small feral pest problem could result into a large problem which can cause you a lot of damage which means repair bills.

Below are a couple of feral pests that you may spot around your property:

 

Rabbit

 

Rabbits - Oryctolagus cuniculus: Can weigh up to 2kg and breeds from January to August. Rabbits can reproduce 2 – 4 litters a year and each litter can contain 3 – 6 young. Can be found throughout Australia.

 

Red Fox

 

Foxes - Vulpes Vulpes: Male foxes can weigh up to 10kgs and female foxes up to 8kgs. Breeding is generally throughout the cooler months and can last up to 3 months. Each litter can range from 1 to 8 ‘kits’ and ‘Kits’ leave their mother between 6-8 months after birth. Foxes can be found in farms and vacant land and live off chickens, rats, mice and various fruits.
